Art and Sip at the Longmont Museum: Brilliant Blue Sun Prints

Art and Sip at the Longmont Museum takes place on October 5th. This event, which is $40 per ticket, focuses on blue sun prints (or cyanotypes), which are made by placing objects on a special type of paper and exposing that paper to sunlight.

Art and Sip gives beginners a chance to explore this art medium through guided instruction while getting in touch with their innate creativity (although seasoned artists looking to hone their skills or try something new are encouraged to attend, as well). The theme of this event is natural materials, as artists will be encouraged to make their sun prints with the use of flowers, leaves, branches, pine needles, and other Mother Nature offerings.

Of course, an art and sip event isn’t complete without something to sip. Beer, wine, and snacks will be available for purchase at the Atrium Bar.
