Oktoberfest at Left Hand Brewing

Oktoberfest is returning to Left Hand Brewing on September 29th and 30th at The Garden (1245 Boston Avenue) in Longmont. Presented by FNBO, this is a long-standing event that started over a decade ago in 2012. Come enjoy a bit of revelry, great food, and festivities, including live music, polka dancing, a brat-eating contest, and a costume contest. Here are the details:

Friday, September 29th

Friday’s list of events includes live music performances by the Polkanauts and Funkiphino. Tickets are $10 an adult, while kids 12 and under are free. Sip and dance the night away (or stay safely at your table and watch others brave the dance floor).

Saturday, September 30th

Saturday is packed with all-day activities, including polka music, bluegrass, and folk music from Steve Rock’s Tanzkapelle, Jake Leg, the Broken String Band, the Cody Sisters, and Head for the Hills. Attendees can also take part in a stein-holding contest, a brat-eating contest, and a costume contest. Tickets are $20 (with kids under 12 free).

Other Details To Consider

While Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event, it is not pet-friendly; dogs are not allowed with the exception of service animals. Canopy and pop-up tents are banned, as well, but guests are encouraged to take lawn chairs, blankets, and umbrellas.

The Garden features a wide selection of beer, wine, craft cocktails, sodas, and other non-alcoholic drinks. Outside alcohol is prohibited, but outside food, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks are allowed. There will also be several food trucks to choose from. Whether you opt to bring in food or dine on sight, attendees are asked to leave large coolers at home due to space limitations. After all, you’ll need somewhere to put that Bavarian pretzel.
