The Colorado Front Range has enjoyed a
fair amount of snow lately, but warmer months will be here before we know it.
Boulder County makes the most of its sunniest months by hosting several outdoor
events that will appeal to residents and tourists alike, while nearby towns
give Longmont locals an excuse to explore the great state of Colorado, beyond
their already-amazing “backyard”. These are some of the most popular outdoor festivals and events in and
around Longmont, scheduled for Spring and Summer 2022.
Tulip
Fairy & Elf Festival: April 24

Mall’s annual Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival in Boulder. Enjoy a bite to eat at one of Boulder’s premiere dining establishments, then watch as the colorful Tulip Fairy and her pint-sized helper
fairies and elves “wake up the tulips” along west Pearl Street to officially
greet Spring. Activities will also be available for kids from 1-5pm.
Longmont

Down Wanderers and Blue Canyon Boys. For the full festival experience, there
are convenient camping sites
near the event, or book a hotel
in town for a more comfortable stay closer to urban amenities.
Boulder
County Fair: August 11 - 14
The Boulder County Fair
takes place on the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont from August 11th to
the 14th. This beloved tradition gives 4H members the chance to compete in
various disciplines, hoping to earn the right to compete in larger fairs while
the greater public is invited to enter their own art and home projects in the Creative Living
competition. This year is extra special as all of the exhibits and events are
scheduled to be open to the public for the first time in two years!
